How does a Community Enterprise work?

Mt Alexander Community Enterprise will earn a commission from the business of every Mt ACE supporter who does their banking with Bendigo Bank or signs up with Bendigo Telco. This is paid monthly to Mt ACE. Other established Community Enterprises in our area are: Empowering Eaglehawk, Strathfieldsaye Community Enterprise, Kangaroo Flat Community Enterprise, Bendigo Northern Districts Community Enterprise.

Will I have to pay more?

No. Mt ACE supporters will be offered the same products and services at the same rates as all Bendigo Bank and Bendigo Telco customers.

If I am an existing Bendigo Bank or Bendigo Telco customer, what do I have to do to support Mt ACE?

Contact the Bendigo Bank Castlemaine Branch or Bendigo Telco and ask them to link your accounts with Mt Alexander Community Enterprise.

Is my privacy retained?

Yes, your personal information and details of your business with Bendigo Bank or Bendigo Telco are NOT shared with Mt ACE so full privacy is assured.

How will funding be administered? And what projects will the money be used for?

Mt ACE is an incorporated group overseen by a voluntary committee. Our identified priority projects are the Castlemaine Hot Rod Centre Ltd and the redevelopment works at the Wesley Hill Sports Complex. We have also introduced Small Grants for Mt Alexander Shire community groups.

Why would the Bendigo Bank or Bendigo Telco share their profits with Mt ACE?

Working with local communities makes good business sense. Gaining local support gives them a competitive edge over other big businesses.
