Frequently Asked Questions

Mt Alexander Community Enterprise will earn a commission from the business of every Mt ACE supporter who does their banking with Bendigo Bank or signs up with Bendigo Telco and asks to link their account with Mt ACE. This commission is paid monthly to Mt ACE by these businesses, at no charge to you. Other established Community Enterprises in our area are: Empowering Eaglehawk, Strathfieldsaye Community Enterprise, Kangaroo Flat Community Enterprise, Bendigo Northern Districts Community Enterprise – and there are many more, growing all the time as communities see the benefits.

Mt ACE supporters will be offered the same products and services at the same rates as all Bendigo Bank and Bendigo Telco customers so there is NO extra cost.

Your personal information and details of your business with Bendigo Bank or Bendigo Telco are NOT shared with Mt ACE so full privacy is assured.

Contact the Bendigo Bank or Bendigo Telco and ask them to link your accounts with Mt Alexander Community Enterprise. Use their easy contact form on our home page.

Bendigo Bank began the successful Community Bank model in areas where banking facilities were being lost. Each community had to establish the banking business and manage the site under the Bendigo umbrella. The success of this model led to existing bank branches wanting to create a similar arrangement in their communities. Because people were already customers of the branch, they have to ask to link their account with the Enterprise, whereas it is automatic for every community bank customer. So, you cannot be a Maldon Community Bank customer and also link your account with Mt Alexander Community Enterprise – only one funding arrangement can be chosen.

Mt ACE is an incorporated group overseen by a voluntary committee.  We distribute grants to Mount Alexander Shire community groups.

Working with local communities makes good business sense. Gaining local support gives them a competitive edge over other big businesses.
